My inclination is that most browsers don't natively support audio file formats other than midi. You can embed a real player window if you want (dig around the real.com site, maybe you'll find something there). I have never seen an mp3 embeded in an HTML file like that though. What you could do is use Flash to stream the mp3 and fake a control panel for it in there.
