I think your design is just great and I can't really add anything to what these experts have said. Except this one thing, long "alt" messages on your graphics are impossible to read in the time that IE allots, I have to keep going back and that gets annoying.

Oh, and there's this (from an English major):

But I am still unclear on the concept. The links you offer on your index page don't seem to be examples of banner exchanges. May I cherry-pick the sites with which to exchange banners? I don't want my site advertised on certain kinds of sites and vice versa. I've seen sites that seem to have a whole fleet of banners at the bottom, I don't want to be part of an exchange with a site like that... Reassure me a bit please.

The only thing that I see that hasn't been mentioned yet is, you need something on your tabs at the top that indicates to the user what page they are on. Like maybe a different color tab for each page or different color lettering on the tab. Not really a big deal since you only have a few pages. It just helps show where you are on the site.

I think your logo at the top would look better if it were a different color besides blah gray. That would liven up the site a bunch.

In Opera 6 the right side curves are appearing in the middle of the page rather than lined up with the border.

I would like to see somethin underneath that row of of tab naviation at the top. They look like they should be attatched to something. You could just put a line or bar underneath them, or you could try colourin the entire content area pale blue, to make it look more like a tabbed notecard. It would also be a good idea to do something more interesting with the logo.

"The Number One Banner Exchange Network" ????? - don't lie.

Overall, I'd have to say that this looks quite nice. Smooth and simple.

A lengthy one here.

The rounded corners are a bit jagged. Especially the edges of the speech bubble and the thick border around the page. The nav button borders look fine.

The "???" looks unprofessional. Just use a single "?".

The logo is a bit plain.
So are the fonts/styles of the texts like "The number one..." and "Why not sign up... ."
By using images, you have the freedom to apply more exciting, unique fonts. Try adding a little flair with that. (But don't go overboard.)

I think you should also have a "More" link on the home page where you list the benefits, which leads to the Benefits page.

Doesn't "join" also imply approval? How about dropping the "we approve your site" bit. It also makes the text less wordy.

Typo on FAQ no. 5: "the impressions evenly arround each banner."

Your comments are great btw! I have learnt alot from your post, I didn't even realise the FAQ was not finished. Was so busy doing the backend Anyway I have added a few more questions AND answers to the faq to finish it off.

You say its quite thin? I dont really know what more to add. Maybe a mailing list and a members login? More pictures?

Anyone else with suggestions?

We do ask that you help out others by reviewing their sites before you post yours for critique, so if you can look at some of the other sites posted in this section I'm sure you'll get the feedback you want on your site.

After a quick look around the site, it's very basic, which isn't bad but maybe a bit thin on content. I take it the site isn't finished yet as you have 5 FAQ but only 2 answers! The graphics are a bit jaggedy which cheapens the look of the site IMO. I would also like to see some examples of the kind of sites you'd expect me to link to and quality of the banners.
