ITA about the background images - those don't look that good to me and I would also say that the subject matter is inappropriate. What might be a suitable idea for a replacement is to use a blown-up dingbat or simple graphic, blown up and faded out as you have them. You could try more businesslike or generic types of images.

In general, I would avoid saying much of anything about personal interests and hobbies. It's just not very professional - a few things here and there, if they're relevant would be fine, but I think it would be better to concentrate on what you could do for a potential employer.

One thing about the front page - I think it would be a big improvment to do something more interesting with your title text here. The photo is really overpowering it in the design. I do like the way you've used that photo but I feel that it could be more of a starting point for the rest of the deisgn - that could work out really well.

I agree with the above about the mystery meat navigation, the rating scale of your own skills (your definition of "master" could vary significantly from someone else's), and the use of colour. I think that it could be a neat idea to draw out the bright orange from the taillights in the front page photo and use that elsewhere in the design.

I agree about the navigation and if this is a site to get you more work I don't know that putting your own scale of your skills is such a good idea as unless you are master of everything it may put some people off or make others feel you are boasting. I also think that the text is a bit too small and hard to read in most places. It's a nice layout but I personaly think that the background images can be a bit distracting as you wonder what the relevance of them is and where the text is so small end up looking at them and not the content.

Not bad but the home page took a little long to load on my dial-up. I think you should have text links instead of numbers. You could still do that an use the pop up text as well. I'm just not crazy about the numbers. Pickt aren't I? LOL;)

slightly different look in Opera6 (as opera) ans IE5, not majors but things like the vertical numbers (1-5) are left aligned not centered, the bio info is single line spaced not doubled, displays ok in IE.

For you skill set page, maybe put the scale at the top.

Its a nice design and layout, but once you get into the site all you have is numbers, no reference to whats where, also the page number your on is at the bottom, maybe leave the mouseover image open on current page.
The first page is a lil blurry but has good colors, maybe try bring some of them inside the site some more.
