    <description> &lt;p&gt;Hey cordedpoodle, I have 8 and I couldn&#039;t figure out how to do it. Thought it might just be my outdated version so I looked all over the net when you first posted and was unable to find anything at all. Like Meg said, maybe it isn&#039;t possible.&lt;/p&gt;

    <description> &lt;p&gt;Which version of Illustrator do you have?  That could make a difference.  &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I&#039;m thinking that this just isn&#039;t possible - it doesn&#039;t seem to be in Photoshop 6 either and things like this are usually the same in both programs.  You&#039;d think that it would remember what you had in your last document, like it does with rulers.  &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Maybe you should send this suggestion to Adobe!&lt;/p&gt;
