If your dealing with transparencies, get a transparency scanner for best results, it may mean having to get two scanners, one for slides one for prints but the end result is easily seen.

Yes, I am prepared to spend $$$. Sh!t it ain't my money..lol. Nah, really I'm just trying to get whats best for our office. Sparing money for quality is not an option here. A disfunctional peice of equipment go's to the circular file here.

I guess decide on what interface you want. I personally like the Firewire scanners myself. I have an Astra Firewire scanner that is quite fast but doesn't really have all the features that you need. If you want the best, go with Epson but be prepared to spend some $$$.
