I wasn't clear -- if you develop it on the same background colour, and then make it transparent, it will not have that halo effect, and will blend in.

Hello
I tried matching by background with my image background, but they appeared different shades.
I'm still working, I'll get back to you again
thanks

adding to #1 of Suzannes comment, make sure the color of the background you use isnt any of the colors used in the image, or these too will become transparent.

if the colors are the same, use similar but different colors,
ie: white text, white background on site, use light grey background,
black text, black background on site, use very dark blue background ...

Hard to help much beyond tips:

1. Use the same background colour in the .psd as it will be on the site because when you save as a transparent .gif it will be anti-aliased to match that background colour (making it appear to be smooth).

2. Post a sample so people can help you optimize it well

3. Don't anti-alias very small text (it will look like mush).
