I agree with Peter on the .NET 'sixth sense' initiative!!

ASP and .Net simply because that is the choice I have made. I felt more comfortable switching to .NET than to PERL or PHP etc.

Working with ASP on free servers and dial up is mush faster. No worries about missed semicolons, terminators, brackets and the like.
Although, I find PHP much easier and efficient as far as processing, security, etc is concerned.

I create a "functions" include that has a Sub RW (PassedValue) which executes Response.Write (PassedValue). Much quicker than "echo".

PHP, then Perl. I like PHP because it's so much simpler and is more like ASP in that it's it the same file as the HTML and templates.

I don't really think of JavaScript as a programming language, I think of it more as a helper, heh. XML isn't really a language, either, but XSLT? I haven't used them enough to really comment, but they seem to be very powerful and definitely excellent for publishing the same content across various media and platforms.
