When it comes to hosting (as with most things in life) unlimited-anything doesn't exist. There's always some limit. Perhaps a very high limit that your situation doesn't have to be concerned with. But there is always a limit. And often you run smack into that limit when you least need to be confronted with limitations and extra costs.

Yes, but do they provide you with "unlimited bandwidth"? Are there any restrictions present on this in their TOS? I'd like to see what happens when the site begins pushing 50 GB + / month of transfer.

I agree - there is no such a thing as unlimited bandwidth... Most hosters are overselling anything, but bandwitdth is still costly and if you try to go beyond certain limit of transfer they will sooner or faster request additional payment.

Best Regards,

one thing I've learnt while looking for a paid host is there isnt such thing as unlimited bandwidth.

Free hosts could say they do but once your site starting attracting a lot of traffic you'd probably be shut down for breaking there rules, happened to me once at crosswinds, I didnt break the rules, was just a graphic site that was popular.

there are paid hosts out there as cheap as 3.95 a month. (you get what you pay for that cheap) At least with a cheap paid host they wont kick you off for no reason, especially if you have a popular site that uses a lot of images, music, chat rooms, forums etc.

one i found yesterday, free host is coolfreepages.com, 50mg hd, unlimited bandwidth, php, mysql, ftp and no banners, but reading the small print they do have pop unders and will close your account if inactive for a week or two, there could be more small print but I stopped reading when i found the one or two week thing.

ALWAYS read the small print
