I agree with Megan. If you don't know HTML, you need to.

Marc - you might want to take a look at the other thread Faraaz started to get a better idea of what he's talking about.

To my knowledge there is no program on the market that will do this. As I said in the other thread, you really need to get an understanding of HTML and how it works - what it can and cannot do. HTML was never meant to be a presentation language - it's a structural language and designers have had to use a lot of work arounds to create nice looking sites. Most of the "lines and such" that you see on a web page are graphics. They are stored in separate files and brought into the web page using HTML. You will need to create your graphics in one program and use another program to code them into your web page.

For a graphics program you might want to try Macromedia's Fireworks - I think that might work well for you since it does generate some code (but does not let you make a lot of changes to it within the program). You could then bring Fireworks' code into Dreamweaver and work with it more there.

Learn some basic HTML - it seems to me that you don't have much of an understanding of how web pages work. Go to Busy's ezhtml site, or try something like http://www.htmlgoodies.com or http://www.webmonkey.com
