Setting the _alpha property to 0 should be avoided if not totally necessary, it is very processor intensive. It only works inside the movie itself. So if you have a copy of Flash 5, you can import your banner, create a new layer, draw a square as big as the banner is ind the layer above the importet banner. Then u make this square invisible by setting alpha to 0.
