you could put a content tag in your include file to align your contents so displays the same on all browsers

I think you may have to redesign your top section if you wish to place a banner in there. not sure if just moving would work

You know what. I just realized what makes the menu not centered in Opera. once i took out those extra tags, it centers itself, so not it looks good in all browsers:)

Just wondering, do you recommend that i alter my top logo so it adds in a spot to put a banner? Do you think that could be a benefit for my site.

ahhhhh, all better. You can re check out the source now, no extra body, head, html files. Let me know if you see anything else goofy. Also, i fixed the menu problem. You can browse through some of the pages to tell me if it works for you.

whats in the 2 included menu files?

remove all "html, head, title, /title, body, /body and /html" tags from these included files, even thou they have an html extensions (or shtml) they are a included section, not a included page if you know what i mean, you could name your included files text files if wanted as your only after the content of it, not the foundations of it.

I think your thinking of this method the way frames are done, its not the same

I mean, doesn't it look like i am doing it properly? I just create another html file like i normally would and then you just call that file. Maybe i will contact my host and ask them why it may be doing that.

I am sorry, but I still don't think you guys know what I am talking about. I am not putting those extra tags in there. The site is calling 2 separate html files (my menu's ) using ssi and when they do that, they include the html and head tags from those two files. I do not put those in there myself. I could paste the entire html code from what my index.html looks like before i upload it to the server, and you will see there are no extra tags in there. It is basically have 3 html files in 1 file, because its calling it. I hope that is clearing it up. Actually, i got an idea, i am going to paste the entire html of my index.html on a separate site so you can view it.

you need to take out the extra and tags - two of each, your layout should be:

meta tags and scripts, style sheets

contents

only one start and one end tag of each, and no nesting (swapping order) of these.

dont forget to change those small i's in your content

This is what yoour code should look like and is the basic building block for all web pages. You don't need two sets of the html, head, title and body tags....ONLY one set. And by one set I mean an open tag, and a close tag,
