My early conclusion must be;

- remake the pages with maybe 2 layers on each page, one for a menu and one for the text and maybe three links on the topp close to the logo.
- Loose the frames
- less text on each page
- have more pages with less text. If text exceeds one page let it continue on the next page.
- Have to consider the size of the html pages on frames opposite without frames. We prefer to have the pages under 6 kb each.
- remake how to show pictures. Have one page per picture with "previous" "home" and "next" buttons and a short headline for each picture. This also opens up for some short description for each picture underneath each picture. Something like this http://www.tasfoundation.org/english/activities_fish.htm

Yeah, it does look better without a box around the navigation text. The next thing is to just give a little space to the left of the text in the navigation bit, like you have with the main text.

I'd also make it the same font as the main text?

Your comment about the logo

The logo is made by professionals and symbolize that the two last letters are "amputated". The whole site is about amputation and cancer. So Jiffy the logo will not be changed.

Nicora : I tried to put that font-size in different places in my html coding and also in my css file but can't make it work. Any more precise suggestions??

I have also tried to make some air between some of the links. But can't figure out how to???

the original is alright... it gets the job done.. and is very simple.

the remake version - I dont like the colors.. the font is way to big and it just screams out at you.
not at all pretty.

I like the boxed menu, reminds me of (http://www.glassdog.com/).

I don't care for the color scheme either. But decreasing the font size will help that menu out. Do something like this....

I don't think this worked. You have the navigation text on the left on the background colour but the mian text is on a white background which looks odd to me.

It's a little bit better because all the text is on the same background colour. Since you do not have a box around the main text, I don't think you should have a box around the navigation text.

Also the Navigation title is a bit pointless. I'd suggest splitting up your navigation. Have the links to do with the site itself, like Web awards, Contact us & Webmaster in a menu bar running across the top of the page with the logo in it.

I liked the logo but though it might look a bit better if the foundation text was transparent. Like this:

You can install as many versions of Netscape, Opera that you want. IE can only have one version installed at a time. I wouldn't really worry about having many people on IE 4 and below. Microsoft nags them quite a bit to upgrade.

Can I install all the different browser versions I want without any conflict?

I know that it works fine to have both Opera6 and IE6 on same computer. But need your advice on this matter.

I'd go the frames one without frames.

a few browser issues you might want to know about

NS4.7 -
frames page - has wide yellow border around content section and has "email" and "main page" link at the very top
non frames - just a big mess, the text is all over the background which is behind the floating box and content picture

NS6 -
frames page - the middle section is about 1/2 the page where as in IE its only third
non frames - floating index works but has tables borders on

Opera6 (as opera6) -
frames page - same as NS6
non frames - same as NS6 except css isnt working

IE - works fine

which ever you choose you should either change the link color and/or use underline as mouseover (a:hover)
