Hm. Do you really need that top part so big? It covers half the screen on my old machine back home. You could probably shrink that to half it's size that would be an immediate improvement - as you could see more content within the first 'fold' which is always a very important point.

You can also change your copyright statement at the bottom to 2002

Well organized, the greenish-blue color could be a bit better though.

Just in case you forgot, here is the link to the last thread that you posted when you had the menu written by Ger Versluis. My post is about the 6th one from the top.

Nope wasn't me that liked the default blue. Ya must be gettin senile flip:D I commented that I wasn't crazy about the gray color on mouse over that you had for the menu when it was the DHTML one.

Didn't your links used to be red in the body? The blue links sorta clash with the green. I would suggest a dark green with underline for links with maybe a lighter shade green or dark gray with underline for rollovers. The green doesn't give you much choice for accent colors. The site looks really good though.

Looks good to me.

I'm looking at it on IE6 and you have a white strip running down the right side of your page. Add rightmargin="0" along with topmargin etc.

Apart from the blue links the only thing that gets to me is the design of the headings you've used. With an italicized sans-serif font it can look jagged/pixelated and a little skewed. Why don't you try using a bold serif font of the same size. Even for the quote regards the validator, you could try using the same serif, italicized font.

It might be better if you incorporated more of the green all down the page... maybe for the headings?

Otherwise, things look great.

a work around for those small empty td cells can be done with css

add a style sheet tag and make the font size 8px (or smaller depending on the type of font you use, verdana wont go much under doesnt really matter what font you use as nothing is seen, but keep to a default font

then on your td cell add your class= and just put in the , this workaround works on NS4.7 and above could go further down.

Aaaarrghh!! Those damn links!!

I think it was DM who liked the default blue that Opera seemed to display a while back so I thought I'd run with it..I think maybe a powder blue or dark green like Megan & Webmistress have suggested.

Busy:
I'm glad I converted you! But don't slap me mate! The skinny bits are down to the fact they are table cells with nothing in them, just a Green bgcolor. I tried putting just a space in them to make NS display them but it increased the height in IE....DOH! Just use the cell height to control it...stooopid...
Still a bit of work to do on controlling the text field size but I found a good workaround using css...

Thanx as always! Any more?

I get the same as Taff in NS4.78 with the top banner not showing and the search box looking out of place. I would also add that I don't like the blue either! I'd go with dark green. Looks good in IE apart from that though.

I have always hated green, but since seeing your site last time it has grown on me, not sure whether to thank you or slap you lol.

NS4.7 - the bottom advert section still hasnt loaded, status bar says : transfering data from p.wtlive.com, but thats not a biggy, the top link section is skinny without a border or line at the bottom (based on IE's look), the top find it input box is twice as wide as IE's, and the bottom navigation bar is as same as the top one, skinny.

IE5 - looks good, very professional, only bit i dont like is how the top section doesnt fit the full width of the page and maybe link colors,

NS6 - the search and find it button are under the banner, straight under, not in the middle of that section like the others, also there is a gap between your top section and navigation line of links and no bottom border line, the "Welcome to WebmasterEdge.com - The Webmaster Resource Directory" bit is bold and italic in the other two, in NS6 its small plain text, (same size as the small links) links on top nav bar are black mouseover on ie but white on NS6, content links are black thou. bottom nav bar is wide but has no top or bottom border (lines), the italic text is hard to read on here

Opera6 (as opera6) - has wide horz scroll bar at 800x600 about the width of the right colum, looking at the page it could be your update (latest news) section doing it, add a after the horz line image as the text is following it. using the title in links acts as a window.status message in opera

strange we get different views with NS4.7, unless your version is 4.7x ?, mine is just 4.7
