what is that yellow swirl thing... your logo... ok...the motto quote is very small font... I like the design... just not the fonts used.

I agree the text links at the top are a little too small. It would be useful to hyperlink your logo to the home page. Most web sites do this and most surfers take this as a given.

Oh and there seems to be an unnecessary black space to the left on my 15" 8x6.

Looks better in Opera 6 at 1024 but there's still a bit of black space (about 20-30 px wide) on the right side of the vertical menu part, which is throwing the page off-balance. The "Specializing in website analysis...." is very small here too, and in an ugly serif font. The navbar text is a little small as well.

I like that little swirly thing you've got in the logo. I wonder if you could repeat that elsewhere in the design...

Firstly is a personal picky thing - I don't like it when links are made bold on hover as it alters/shifts the whole line of text around it. The links you have on the right, are they staying? If so why do you class them as your 'main menu' and you have then opening up in the same window so if someone clicks on it then you've potentially lost that visitor!

In NS4.7 the text "Specialising in........" is virtually unreadable as it's so small. NS shows text smaller than IE. Also the that the right hand column doesn't look like it finishes at the same level as the left main section.

Thanks for your input all, I have revamped the HTML pages and they should be compatibile with a great deal more browsers, any feedback in this direction would be of great help.

I'm with Taff on the status bar, leave it alone.

error in NS4.7, address bar shows http://www25.brinkster.com/dragoondesign/website/GLOBALCONSTRUCT - Home_files/menu_rollovers.js and page says "The parameter is incorrect."
dont use spaces in file/folder names

NS6 - the page displays but when you mouseover the top links they disapper and show default underlined text that doesnt line up in the boxs

IE5 - javascript error, mouseovers dont work

Opera6 - javascript error Error:
name: ReferenceError
message: Reference to undefined variable: No such variable 'MM_dragLayer'
half of the mouseover links work on the top navigation bar, slight horz scroll bar at 800x600 because there is a blank image between your content and right nav section

the mouseover images at top are hard to read, blury,
looking at your code, i'm suprised your images do display, dont use spaces in file names or folder names, also dont use the name and href in the same link 'a' tag

I agree with the part about not bolding the text on mouseover. Maybe just let it change to a darker blue color.

There is something about the nav buttons at the top. Maybe the text should be centered in the buttons instead of lined up to the left. The "Home" button sorta looks out there all by itself. I didn't really notice this until the second time I looked at your page so it isn't a big deal i don't guess. Just something that caught my attention.

I like the little yellow swirly thingy for your logo. Nice site so far.

Hey I think your site is pretty good so far. Just a couple of things I noticed real quick.

Your server seems to be incredibly slow. Maybe your server just had a burp or lots traffic when I checked it but a page took forever to load. I almost always close a page that takes longer than a few seconds to load unless I really need the content. But then again, I've spoiled myself with a Cisco 678 Router for a personal internet connection so I've gotten rather impatient on loading times. Maybe this isn't a problem, just a fluke, or maybe you are planning on switching servers - just wanted to tell you.

The other thing is your site pops up a JavaScript error after the intro page. Some people may not notice this but I have Visual Studio 6 installed on my machine and it seems to catch and report every single JS error on the net to me, and 90% of pages I visit that use JS have some sort of error, so this is relly annoying for me. Some users machines may not report the error to them, but I promise you there is a bug in that code somewhere.

Guess I don't really have anything to comment about on the actual layout and design of your site, but I think functionality comes before prettiness.

Don't bold your hover links. It causes a really disconcerting affect on paragraphs of text (the larger the paragraph, the worse it gets)

I left and returned and things were sloooow! Your images and css would not load without a refresh. I took a peek at the code. What the heck is...

The HTML page looks good, but there's something bugging me about the layout. There seems to be an image missing on the left side of it in Opera 6 which is pushing the left side menu further to the right). That area needs work for higher resolutions - at 1024 x 768 there's too much empty space over on the right side - it makes the content area seem to be kind of crammed into a corner there. I would probably make the right side coulumn fixed width and let the content area expand to fill the screen as you've done with the header area.

Now I'm noticing what's on that menu there - why are you linking to amazon etc. like that???? Or are you planning on putting something different there? And now that I'm focusing on the menu itself rather than just the proportions I'm thinking that the style doesn't quite fit with the rest of the page.

Otherwise it looks very good. I agree with webmistress about the fonts being small though.

Looking forward to see what you come up with in flash...
