my advice....

write down a list of everything that you stand for and want to achieve with the service. Next, trim all of the nothing words away (and, we , it , they etc)and keep trimming until you have cut it down to the essential keywords for your site. keep trimming and looking for the most important keywords, dump the rest.
Once you have done that, if nothing else you will have worked out some pretty good meta tags!

Just look for the inspiration in the keywords. something might trigger an idea......

Actually to me, CPR gives life to those dying. Just a thought though.

I chose the name intentionally because I hope to give people a new way to look at the web and web hosts.

As someone who works in the medical field, I don't think this was a good choice for your business name. Maybe I am not a good critic on this post because to me CPR usually represents death. However, it you do use it, i like the "giving life to the web" one.

Just had to ask:

Did you pick CPR for a reason or do the initials stand for something to do with your company?

I remember when my friend and her hubby were starting their computer consulting biz. They asked hubby and I for help with the name.

We came up with: Computer Business Consultants, Inc. which turns into CBCI. Worked for him and it's a biz been running for 5 years now.

I picked Show-N-Tell for my business. I do computer tutoring.

So, be careful why you pick the name as well as making the right choice. Do you really want people to call you CPR? Just kidding.

I didn't think of it that way but I guess you're right. Maybe the abortion debate isn't as high-profile here as it is in the 'states... you don't really hear about it that much.

I was originally thinking about that as well but it gets involved in the whole abortion issue... I know in the US when you talk about one's "right to choose" that usually referrs to whether you are pro-life/anti-abortion.. Not sure if it has the same meaning in Canada, though.

Yes, I generally have a pet peeve about cheesy slogans. Especially when they are completely meaningless.

How about something like "CPR Hosting: your webspace, your feedom, your choices" or just "CPR Hosting: freedom to choose"

I would think that consumers are getting more and more wary of cheap slogans when the service/product NEVER meets the expectations. The only thing I could add would be to ensure you do not promise the world or anything.
