Personally I don't like patterned/textured backgrounds in most cases and I'm not keen on this one. I'd say that you need to definitely need a logo for the site and the navigation to be listed down the left side. As it is now the buttons looks like a sentence that's maybe your logo or a banner or something! There's too big a gap between the top buttons (where the logo should go) and the blue text box.

The colours are alright, but the problem i can see are the text boxes, they just seem odd, maybe you should try rounding the edges or something.

I think it's all been said really! You definitely need to think about laying it out a bit better and show some graphics. This site feels like it's had too good a spring clean!

I'm one for simple and clean, but this maybe a little to clean, I really think you need to add your talent into your layout more, even if its just link buttons.

One thing I found looking through your site/s was the notice about link opening in new windows, this can get very tiring having windows opening left right and center, I think you need some thumbnail previews if your going to have new windows and stuff

Not sure about the links colors, esp the blue visited color, maybe a yellow (dark) ?

I guess I'd have to point out the obvious - a graphics site almost totally devoid of graphics?

I like your background colour, although I'm not sure if I like it AS a background colour The logo isn't terribly exciting but I think you could do something interesting with that colour combo throughout the site. Careful though, you don't quite have a browser safe shade there - I can see the box of your logo graphic.

Not bad, a little on the plain side though. I would really like to see a better display of your graphic work. Even some screenshots would help to spice things up a litte. I also think that you should change some things could be organized a little better - like on the "Graphics" page the list of sites would be better in a tabled or bulleted list rather than a centered. ON the "About" page you should probably make those questions as headers rather than plain text indented like that.

Other than that there's really not much to say. I would like to see some more interesting visual elements here though.

Thanks for looking at it Mark. Yeah, I couldn't get the background of the graphic to match, I think I will do it on a transparent background.

Matthew, is a great name, but, he's not my son...I have only girlies.

I am going to have to think about this one. A couple of things that I noticed one is the name of your son. Hey great name Matthew.

There are a few things that I think are not quite right. One is your logo. It is plain and simple which is good but the color on my monitor showed slightly different than the background. I didn't really like the colors on your navbar hyperlinks. I didn't think that it fit well with the site. The other thing about the navbar that I didn't like was that the links changed position. It just made the navigation a little trickier. I think that it would have been better to show the links in the same position all the time but maybe change the color of the active page link.

The code was pretty good, but I would recommend the use of stylesheets to get rid of the deprecated font tags plus to give a better look by specifying pixels. A few other things like a IE only bordercolor where used. I don't like the use of & nbsp; to create spacing. It is much better to do this within a table.
