Can the feature 'Subscribe to this Forum' be made to work so that when someone starts a new thread an email is sent out. This works for me on the Website Critique forum but not on any of the other ones even though I have got them listed on my Subscribed Forums.

Actually according to the VB people subscribing to a thread does nothing except put the new threads in your profile area (control panel). It does not email out a notification.

Yeah I noticed that yesterday when I did a search for 'css' but as people pu things like php & css and not the full names you can't make the search more than 4 letters!

search entries, I just tried doing a search for "PHP" (minus quotes) but it says its under the 4 letter minimum , I guess searching for css or dom is outta the question as well

can it be changed to 2 letter minimum ?

Julia,

The Administrator/Moderator options in the Member Directory are custom hacks that I have to actually edit a PHP file of the main source code to correct. Bottomline: It's not as easy as editing a template, unfortunately.

I will have this corrected when I dig into the templates (tonight, I hope).

I just went to Member Directory and if you click on Moderators, Administration or Team Leaders it pulls up the whole list of members, so that function isn't working.

OK, the upgrade to version 2.2.1 has been completed and all of the problems mentioned previously appear to have been corrected.

I still have no idea why these problems occured as nothing has been changed at TWF in quite some time that would cause this kind of a problem.

I have tested all of the links reported broken and they all appear to be working as of the time of this post. If you run into problems still, please post.

Upgrading to 2.2.1 has actually been on my list of to-do items since it was released but the holidays brought on very little free time.

I will be upgrading tonight to see if it resolves these problems... I have NO idea why these problems started occuring as I haven't made any changes to the forums and I don't believe Mark has either.

I will have things working normally tonight. Upgrading to 2.2.1 is the first of a couple of changes I am going to try to accomplish during January.
