ok, a Netscape workaround?

http://www.sitesunseen.com/clients/slc2002/layout4.html

d-m: I'm not married to the navigation as is. I think the problem may be that my choice of font doesn't hold up well at such small sizes.

It appears in Opera6 the same as it does NS4.7

That's odd. With Opera6, I see it as in IE6. At 800x600, the differences would be marginal. It is at higher res that Netscape becomes a pain.

Thanks for the table rendering explanation. I was wondering why Netscape always gives me grief.

I had a quick look at your code, in NS4.7

Your td widths conflict with your td contents, example you use width="1" but use a image with width of 30, If you want it a fixed width, your going to have to add some (correct) widths to the surronding (top or bottom) td cells around the content section. NS is loading off the outer cells first (30) then the mid section (680) is taking up the slack, IE is going the other way, working off the inner sections. the corner sections are square in NS but rectangle in IE, to make them the same add width/height tags to your corner td cells

I personaly think your better off keeping the layout sizable (at 100%) and in that case all you have to do is add width=100% in the navigation tables as that the only real difference in IE5 and NS4.7 to me, but if you keep the mid section 680 but the rest 100% it could look a little stretched at bigger screen sizes (i use 800x600)

It appears in Opera6 the same as it does NS4.7

This is for the layouyt/color scheme.

I really like how you did the lines in each corner. Looks nice and unique. The page is really clean and I think the colors go well together. The only thing I have to comment on are the links in the navigation bars. On mouseover the dark blue seems to bleed into the white a bit. I think that they would look better if you maybe had them change color instead of the outline thing.
