The main eason why I was looking at a re-design is that I felt the centre was too truncated with info. In addition, I felt that I was rapidly gaining more links on the left index than was necessary as the no. of categories grew.

Looking round other directory sites, I found that the majority do not employ the original design I chose so I felt an overhaul was needed!

If anyone has any better ideas I'd be more than happy to hear them!

I know you are gonna hate this flipper but I went to your original site the other day looking for something and I think it looks fine as it. It is easy to navigate, you don't have to wait on the DHTML script to load and it looks more organized and put together than the one you are testing now.

punkk - The whitespace is caused cos the table is fixed at 750 pixels to stop it spreading too much on those lucky beggars with 27" monitors!!

the top menu's sections are not that evenly spaced out, such that 'resources' is nearer to 'submit' than 'home'...wonder if that can be modified...

other than that, the site looks really great!

I'm not too keen on the whole whitespace issue on the right of my screen. I guess there could be alot worse things to worry about, eh? Fantastic looking site otherwise.
