Straight off, I see that it lacks life. There's no 'vibrancy' - nothing happening. It's plain sterile.

Best advice I could give is: flip through a gaming magazine. Look at the different layouts. You will notice that, for the most part, pages are divided into columns, with little highlight bits and snippets. Lots of images and action. This makes for easy reading.

You should really apply that to your site. Add more text formatting to separate or highlight headings and important items better.

All said, you should not overdo it. Always maintain a consistent structure and scheme.

Try to make a graphical interface for your navigation, and add more content to the main page. Make sure that all the content is not on the same subject. Add little bits of many things.

So far, this is a good start. Good luck with the site!

The site is very clean, that's for sure (this is a good thing). But I feel like the content area is too crammed up against the menu (maybe making the buttons a tad less wide would help). Also, why not place "Discussion Forums" within that menu? Seems kind of odd having that link separate from the rest.

In Netscape 4.7 the very top button is covered by your logo and there looks like there could be a link beside it but am not 100% sure.
The text is hard up against the right margin of the box cell, looks like some words could be missing but it reads ok so maybe its not.

in IE it lines up better

why is the "game corner: " a link? looks like you have forgotten to add the text after it, its a "home" link so maybe add this to your side links or icon, which as mentioned needs some work.

You just need some shape and color to bring your idea alive.

Just had a quick peek inside, namely your HTML how to page, you need to do a gramer check on your text and things like

is a bad way to teach HTML, the newest version of HTML is actually XHTML which is very strict, closing every tag is a must, including meta, graphic and paragraph tags etc, so teaching bad habits only makes it harder for newcomers to HTML.

and on your selling on ebay page, you may just want to add a note about using popped popcorn for sending overseas, sending food products can be stopped and held by customs for over 30 days, I had this done to me, someone sent me an item with waffles as packing, lets just say I, nor customs were very impressed

I agree with megan. Very bland for a gaming site but that logo looks like a rubber stamp that you didn't push down hard enough on so not all of it came out!
Needs more colour.

Those graphics are really fuzzy - especially the logo but the menu too. I can hardly even read the logo.

Otherwise the design is quite nice but rather boring. This would be okay for a business site or something like that, but with gaming you have a lot of creative options. That graphic you have on the Magic page is more of the look I think you could go for (although there's a little too much overlapping going on there...)

My ex-boyfriend used to play magic all the time so I'm kind of familiar with it.
