Oh, there are tons of places you can go to learn HTML. Try http://www.htmlgoodies.com http://www.webmonkey.com http://www.w3schools.com - there are loads.

You could easily keep what you've got - just save the pages through your browser and then you'll be able to edit them on your hard drive and upload them to another server.

Hey Megan, thanks for both your long replies! I hope you understand what i mean now, it is pretty stupid. I would start a new website but this one has taken me so long, plus its my first ever attempt, i dont know if i could do all that again!
About writing HTML myself, how would i learn how to write my own? Is there anywhere i can get help on learning?

Okay, this thing is freakin annoying. I would reccomend using something else you build your page. You probably have Microsoft Front Page or Netscape's Composer on your computer right now. Now, normally I don't reccomend that anyone use those things but they're better than this about.com thing.

I was right - it's just not letting you add a page without putting it on the navbar. It's something that's built into the program. I guess whoever designed this didn't consider the idea that someone would want to create a page without puttig it on the navbar. Funny how software designers can make some really odd assumptions, although I guess web designers do the same thing sometimes

It's hard for us to help you since most of us probably haven't used about.com's page builder before - you might want to try contacting tech support over there.

Those free online page builders generally tend to be pretty crappy in my experience - they write horrible code, don't let you do a lot of things etc. etc. My recommendation is to learn how to write HTML yourself - it's really easy and you'll have much more control.

So basically what the problem is that it's not letting you create a page without putting it on the navbar? That's annoying... if I get a chance I'll go over there and set something up and see if I can figure it out...

Alright.... looking around at about.com and I can't find anything about free homepage builder on there (at least not something that's theirs - lots of links to other stuff...), could you tell me where this page builder you're using is? I'm guessing that the problem you're having is just one of the restrictions built into the program.

Oh, okay, it's in the members area.... creating a fake login to check it out...
