You can easily do this in flash, as you just import the sound file and then tell it to play the sound at the appropraite time in timeline.

I can't get my head around it just using html, if you just want to have it auto play in the right place.

Here's some ultra rough drafts here. The first in .gif and the other in .swf. the duck animation right now auto plays when the page loads. If ya'll go to the page you can see it.

I want the sound to play just about the time when the words "Just-Duckie" appears in the animation. Heck if any of ya feel like it, you are more than welcome to download them and see if you can do this. All I can offer you is my gratitude and sever admiration...

does the duck jump after a user event? if so you can tie that sound to the gif whenever that event is triggered. What you want to do is aetup up a javascript function to load the sound on an event so on the image tag you could put something like "onClick="playsound()" " etc.
Let us know, otherwise, if you want it to happen a certain time after the page loads, then simply use the same function with a timeout in the onload body tag.....
