    <description> &lt;p&gt;It&#039;s really up to the company that makes the hardware, you can&#039;t really fix it if it doesn&#039;t work. Unfortunately, that&#039;s one of the prices you&#039;ll have to pay for a stable, reliable, and secure OS.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Eventually, users need to move on - using older, ancient software is not going to be compatable with the future of computing (XP), so we&#039;re going to have to upgrade.&lt;/p&gt;

    <title>Its a SCSI CARD based</title>

    <description> &lt;p&gt;My Scanner is not a USB but run on SCSI CARD. I have tried but they say that the scanner is not designed to run in 32bit application and hence say that it might not work in win 2000 and XP.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I will try once more with UMAX but if anyone knows how to install it then do write to me here...&lt;/p&gt;

    <description> &lt;p&gt;Is it USB? I have a Microtek that is still hooked up to my other old Win98 machine and Microtek refuses to release new drivers. Have you checked their web site for updated drivers?&lt;/p&gt;
