I use NS4 and resolution 800x600.

First I get 2 Javascipt errors.

My impression is that your page is very cozy. You can try to add to that effect I think.

Change the font color (I don't like the current one).

I don't know the word in English (anfang in swedish). A bigger first letter. Use that at the top of your page.

Underlined links don't add to the coziness, try to use something else to distinguish the links.

I didnt read the story, but hows this ofr a layout idea

you have a camp fire (as you have) but have pebbles around it in a circle and on every second or third stone you have the link to the next part of the continuing story. the inner circle being a lightish color, being the camp fire lighting it up, and the outer edge black since you want to keep your black and green theme, I personally think a dark yellow or a certain red would go better on the black for this. make your unvisited links lighter green, so can be seen easier so you can still use your dark green on visited links.
