Hi Mark,
I just tried your code with my own images and it worked fine. maybe it is the path to your images, try using full urls to your images and see if you have any success.
good luck.

The cell is the correct width when I view it, but instead of the background image showing the bgcolor is only visible. When I remove the bgcolor then it defaults to the previous table's color. Basically the background image never shows up.

I tried making the spacer.gif's width 696 as well, but that didn't work. What else could it be?

Thanks,

Mark

You must have something inside the table to show the background in netscape. A simple will work, though I commonly use a transparent .gif set to the width of the cell so that Netscape doesn't collapse the cell as well.

HTH,
Tiffany
