I found this last week at Bravenet. It gives you the host ping, DNS lookup time, connect time, download time and number of timeouts for your site. And then it rates your server as poor, fair, good, etc.

http://www.netmechanic.com/cobrands/bravenet/monitor.htm

..it seems to be a good program for simulated loading test, but i am looking for a real loading test to see what server gives you the best perfomance.

This isnt quite what you are asking for but it gives loading time with assorted modem sizes, plus simulaes the load time in % by way of graph.
this is for your files off line, if you can compare it that way?

called webspeed by http://www.tafweb.com

You might want to try Hitbox Doctor:

http://w21.hitbox.com/world/page.cgi?doctor

However, I don't think it displays results in bytes per second.
