...there really seems to be some real interest towards the site and its content. I really must start making the site in english as soon as i have some extra time (now I'm finishing an free ASP based board application along with other site management tools). Most likely the very first english oriented pages will be download/faq/support pages for the board sometime early next month.

about navigation...I'm working on it. Dhtml and other hokey-pokey-stuff have never really hit me, allthouht they are a generally a good way of making things compact. Flash is a one solution, but it doesn't seem to be that popular. Most likely I'm goint to make some sort of flattening or division in navigation.

As it goes for mailing-list, the site currently has one, but only for finnish readers. But I'll promise to announce here when the site has some real content in english...

Possibly you have a mailing list you could put those that are interested in the site on? I would want to be on the mailing list to know when the site is in english.

I have to agree with others, the link system at the top does seem very confusing at first glance. The site loads real quick on a 56k modem, which is a blessing as I hate sites that force you to make a coffee whil you wait for it to load

I like the layout of the front page, nice & clean...its just the links I'd sort out...

I'd be v. interested in the site once it is in English as I think I'll add it to my database of web resources...

A quick loading site from california

The table at the top is browser wide, while the rest of the page loads about 65 percent from left.

The navigation definitely needs to be organized. Possibly logical grouping, or drop down list menuing. Dhtml? Something has just got to be done with that!

My overall opinion of this site is t´hat it seems good.

A couple of problems though.

Firstly, the navigation at the top. It took me a while before I actually found it: Your links goes like this:

Where I think it would be easyer to notice if you did it the other way

since thats the way its normally done.

Also, about those links... They should somehow be ordered into groups... Maybe a java menu would be the best option for you!?

Besides this, I think that it is all covered.

I think the site is generally good, and only needs to be tidied up a bit in the areas mentioned above.

I know what you mean about trying to change the course of a large vessel! I am constantly grappling with that very task.

I dare not ask for a critique of my site yet because I know it needs very much-alot-heaps-loads of work, in several of the areas mentioned in this post. It is, to be honest, a site made of continual add-ons, rather than being built to a carefully considered overall design.

The more I learn about programming, the more I realise the importance of everything that comes BEFORE the programming!

Sometimes you just wish you could start again.

The three orange buttons are a "relic" from the "customize appearance" functionality (there are two looks, from which the user can select his/her favourite). They ought to be transparent gif's, but I haven't yet found the time to deal with the issue. But it's on the fixlist.

As it goes for the navigation bar, the amount of links is a problem. I have some plans of making the navigation a bit more easier, but making "a ship this big" turn is a hell of a job.

Hi,

Welcome to TWF. Your site looks very good, despite me not understanding a word on it.

Thoughts:

The three orange buttons at the bottom need to be the same sizes, the latest is not as wide as the other two.
The navigation bar at the top is nice, but one link doesn't fit and goes to the next line - would look better if you fit them all on one line or made three shorter lines of links.
Definitely translate it into English!
