    <description> &lt;p&gt;Basically, I thought it would be cool to start the site in a small window. But I guess I see that there is really no point to that. so I&#039;m going to leave it.&lt;/p&gt;

    <description> &lt;p&gt;That would be messing with user settings in their browser.  It&#039;s a permissions thing, and you will not be able to do it.  Resizing the window is annoying enough.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;You can only control those chrome bits in a window that your page opens and controls, not the main browser.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Best way to do this, if you must, is to have a generic page with your url and contact information on it and a manual link to the pop-up incase it doesn&#039;t arrive or people kill it before it loads thinking it&#039;s an ad.  Have the real page pop-up in its own window that you can control.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;There are other options, notably using DHTML to control the size and float of the page and ignoring the rest of the window, and I recall a chromeless option that worked only in IE, I think, but this all involved a new window or opening the new &quot;windows&quot; inside the main browser with all the chrome.&lt;/p&gt;
