    <description> &lt;p&gt;You need to make sure that you reindex the search engine tables after you change the search word length.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;You can do this by going into the control panel and selecting update counters. The form for resetting the search engine is near the bottom. It is fairly resource intensive but you shouldn&#039;t have to shut down the board to do it.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;You might also want to check the &quot;badword.php&quot; file and make sure the word is not in that list. You might also want to check for words such as &quot;as, to, me, we, do, he, she, it&quot; etc... And make sure they are in there or your search engine tables will grow exponentially and could even double or triple in size.&lt;/p&gt;
