Nope they use get too. If you look at a topic, you will see all the info in the address bar. Plus even then it would atleast show the Ultimate.cgi link in my address bar but it doesnt, it only shows the aok.heavengames.com.

Marc James:
It is not totally important, it is just i dont want to clutter ppls address bar with tons of links to posts or other things the looked at on my site. Also it would make it easier to find my way back to the main forum page on my site when testing different scripts for it, instead of having to type in the full address again or dig through the tons of the links that the forum.cgi made just to find the correct one.

I will try and dig through that sites Html and see if i can find it anywhere in it.

Maybe they use the POST function instead of GET. This way there are no variables visable in the URL bar. I guess this would be too easy.

Well, I'd be interested if anyone else here knew. My question to you is why do you need to know this? Out of curiosity or will it help you in some way?

This may be just a shot in the dark but i am pretty sure i heard someone mention no cache function or something to that nature at another forum i was at but i cant find that post

I understand you a little better now, but I honestly don't know the answer to your question. I guess it could be since you are running a different forums software than that other site. Or it could just be your browser. Anyone else know?

Hey,

My forum is at http://etow.virtualave.net/cgi-bin/forum.cgi

and the forum i was talking about was http://aok.heavengames.com/cgi-bin/aokcgi/Ultimate.cgi

Whenever i go any page at there site it only records the first page i go to (aok.heavengames.com) and thats all. But when i go to my page it records like every page on my site/forum. If you are wondering what i am talking about it recording to, it is the address bar where you type in the url and it takes you to that page. Well on the side when you click the arrow to see all the recent pages i have gone too, my site is there like ten times and aok.heavengames.com is there only once even tho i went to a lot more of the aok sites pages than the pages on my site.

Thanks

P.S. If you still need some clarification just ask although it is not really urgent, i just wanted to know what is with my site.

Your question is a little vague. Send us a link to your forum and forums that do what you claim in your comparison, then we might be able to help.
