    <description> &lt;p&gt;I would say probably technically yes, but there are tons of people making movie wallpapers and desktop themes with no problems, so I guess the movie studios must not mind or care - it&#039;s free advertising for them right?&lt;/p&gt;

    <description> &lt;p&gt;Actually, I didn&#039;t mean editing an existing wallpaper - I meant getting a scene/frame off a movie and editing it into a wallpaper. Would that be illegal since I&#039;m using part of the film?&lt;/p&gt;

    <description> &lt;p&gt;If you take someone else&#039;s wallpapers and use them for your site, yes, it would be illegal, but if you create your own, I cannot see how it&#039;d be illegal.&lt;/p&gt;
