but, once a font is installed on your machine, and you no longer have the downlaod file (oops!) ..how do you go about making a backup of just particluar fonts?
Most i need and want i have the original file..pack rat that i am, but a few slipped by me that i would hate to lose as they took me awhile to find.
Ok..explains too much :lol

Thanks for that Busy, I must admit if I'm looking for a font I tend to get loads in one go, then never use half of them! I did find heather though

I had a few sites bookmarked for fonts, I was once an font addict, but seems most sites have disappeared, I still have this one which links to a lot, hope it helps.

I know the feeling! I'm having to go on a hunt for certain fonts now that I have my new machine, and sometimes I haven't been able to find the original font, so I've had to re-do some things.

A good way to find an obscure font is to just to a google search for fontname.ttf - I tried heather.ttf and quite a few sites came up.

Note to all: Be sure to save a copy of the fonts you've used with your designs. Particularly if you know those font's aren't easy to find. I always remember to back-up my .psd files, but not the .ttf's that go with them.
