Thanks for the advice hanstead, I will be removing the animation and date soon and replace it with a photo or an image as adviced in earlier posts.

I left it as is, as I am concentrating on some work for a client and had to stop and will continue again later on when I have the time.

I am such a stickler for logos...

It's cool to take the 'logotype' route, but if you are using that for a logo, your font should stay consistent (it's different on the top & on the animation). You may want to rethink the whole logo...something 'slicker'?

Wow, thanks NSS, I'm glad you're appreciating my work here (and rivmont too ). And yes, PLEASE just call me Megan - when I was made mod the forum owner at the time wanted all mods to be using their full names, so that's the only reason why my full name is there.

Id loose the strips on the left border, very distracting.

I think this may be more personal prefence, but to me the bold background (on mouseover) is very newbie-ish.

the animated MANIWIN, got to loose that, a quick look you already have maniwin on the title, in the title bar (web address), the first graphic (web design and hosting), at the very bottom of the page (copyright) etc
the animated one ruins your professionalism

whats that saying - "Just because you can, doesnt mean you should" or something like that.

the other thing is the date, I'm having a day off today, I dont want to be reminded that its monday, I have a clock next to the pc, the pc has a clock, why would i want a nother one?

that green (if its green) doesnt go well with the blue on the background

Wow! when I am finished with it maybe in a week's time, I sure will remember you all for giving me such good and vaulable tips and inspiration to work towards designing a quality website.

I don't like the animated GIF or the strips on the left. I think the stripes look a little bit corny. They yellow is a bit distracting. I owe it to Megan Jack for seeing this varsity look sitck out with that kind of yellow. LOL. I like the top part with the blue though. Hope this helps.

I would consider making "portfolio" a separate page. On the front page, you've got five screen shots to the left, and then half of the right column is just blank. It looks awkward to have that much unused space.

I would also omit the meta tags until your site is completed because I wouldn't want to get indexed yet with the links not working.

And when you *are* ready, you will need to have a stronger set of keywords than just "Web Design, Virtual Hosting".

Thanks for pointing out the weakness and how a professional web design site should project and look like. I probably need to learn some Flash techniques and hopefully provide it as an option. As for animations which you have commented many times which is bad for web pages so I may also have to use it only if the client request for it.

Yes, the colour doesn't match well and also the mouseover with the dark blue. Also thanks for reminding me to check the Title page, meta tags. I completely forgot about it.
