Snafu,

That was completely uncalled for. You asked for opinions on all aspects of your site, and TheGizmoid wrote about things she thought were problematic. The fact is that the spelling on this site is atrocious and severely detracts from its credibility, whether it's your fault or your client's fault. I also saw nothing wrong with her tone - I don't understand why you felt that she was being "cocky". It seems to me that she was just stating the facts as she saw them.

At TWF we encourage our memebers to be polite and respectful to each other. I'm sorry that you felt TheGizmoid was being rude to you, but there was no reason to be so rude in return.

If you have any further questions about this, please PM myself or one of the other moderators. This thread is closed until further notice.

Thank you everyone for your posts.

I am not sure whether to thank you TheGizmoid or simply ignore you.... you are correct about the spelling and
grammar however aside from that you have not offered any advice on the design of the site.

So I'm assuming you were simply so put off by a few misspelled words that you forgot the purpose of the
post.

You did say something about NS4.x If you could be more specific you might actually prove helpful, and seeing
as how that is the purpose of all boards like this, I'm sure you'll do your best. That is unless you are simply
interested in boosting your meager ego by ripping on my clients spelling abilities, while at the same time not
actually giving any real design advice.

Truthfully I would not have been bothered by your critique of my clients spelling if it were not for the tone of
your message which might I add was extremely cocky. How can you judge my professionalism by my clients
spelling and my test server?

If you want to give me a gut check about my professionalism, because I'm assuming that's what your ego
was aiming for simply give me an honest design critique, and if your critique includes all of the same issues
you mentioned before, so be it, just don't take that arrogant tone in your critique and I will gladly thank you for
your comment.

Again I thank everyone for their opinions offered here.

Maybe its my resolution, but the nav bar on the left is way too small.
Otherwise, the site looks great, nice job

Have you looked at your site in NS 4.x? I don't believe it looks anything like what you intended, probably because of the way NS interprets CSS.

If you have a personal site or a "cutting edge" site where your audience would be expected to be using the latest and greatest of everything, then I say go for it. However, if you have a commercial site aiming for a broader audience, I would think it would behoove you to attempt to make your site work in NS.

The grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization and use of incorrect words throughout was an immediate turn-off. Your website should be putting your best foot forward and if this is it, I would not even consider using your services. Sorry to sound harsh, but to me this indicates sloppiness and a lack of attention to detail, which I then assume is indicative of your services as well.

I hope that when you are ready to go public with the site that you get a real host. Those ad banners for your free web host at the top of every page don't contribute to a professional image for the site.

1. Spelling mistake on the first page - you have "resoutce" instead of "resource" - always spell check.

2. Put the location/service area on here somewhere.

3. YOu should really emphasize that no cost thing....

4. Design is a little dull to me - just very low contrast. I like the pictures on the main page though - maybe some more pictures of potential meeting places would liven up the rest of the site.

I like it as well. Two observations though:

- You RFP page loses the sidebar navigation altogether. Is this what your "note" was referring to? Hopefully this is just temporary because it ruins the flow.

- Your contact form in a pop-up? Why? It doesn't even match the site. Integrate the form as you did with the RFP page.

- Oh, and the rollovers (Three! There are Three observations!) are slow to preload and kind of look like you are just adding an "I" to each one. I'd consider an alternative there.

Well I have to say that I actually like it as it is
It's clean and very easy to navigate. The only thing I'd say is that on a large monitor it does look a little small in the middle.

Good work.

Right now the site feels like it's just plopped on the page. It doesn't feel cohesive. What if you switched the background color (white now) with the center color (teal)? That might help the site seem more cohesive and brighten it up.

That's all for now! Good job!
