Front page

Well the front page ext. that you talk about means adding features to you web pages with ease. for example:
rollovers, text effects for them to work the server that you upload your pages to need to be enabled, talk to your host about that.
Also another neat feature is when you have certain ext. enabled you can make changes to your web page from frontpage and it will automatically update to the server with out the need to ftp!!

In your form you say it doesn't work?
For any form to work you will need to set the method i.e get, post and set you variables for example:
these couple of lines should be all that you need for the script to work, there is much more you can add but this simple remedy will get you started.

you also need to upload your cgi script into the cgi-bin, put the name of your cgi program in the script where I put "your cgi email program here
thats all!
Also 1 last thing in your cgi script, some require that you change maybe 1 or 2 lines to get the script to work.
Normally the lines that need to be edited for the most basic script are: the location of your perl compiler, normally the first line in the script and the server where the script will be located so it cant be linked from another server.

HOPE IT HELPED!!

I don't have a lot of experience with FrontPage, but from what I understand, FrontPage 2000 Server Extensions include functionality for incorporating databases into your pages. If your host supports FP2000 Server extensions then you should be able to take advantage of that. Without the FP2000 Server Extensions you won't be able to use those FrontPage features (feedback, search,db, etc)
