    <description> &lt;p&gt;I must admit I use them quite a bit. I can achieve a very precise clean finish on a design by putting different coloured spacers in. Clear spacers have saved me a few times with netscape too. But we&#039;re not really here to start another netscape/explorer debate are we!&lt;/p&gt;

    <description> &lt;p&gt;I mostly just use them in small coloured table cells so the colour will show up in Netscape - for thin borders and other things smaller than an nbsp.&lt;/p&gt;
