I was wondering who closed the thread? I have re-opened it because I don't find it to be terribly bad to the general user base. I am hoping everyone can solve the problems that are mentioned in the thread.

Unfortunately, you got off on the wrong foot at TWF with myself and the moderators of the forum. Your original messages (five or so of them) were clearly against the rules that you agree to when you signed up to participate in these forums. Further, as a host, you should know everything there is to know about spam - and if you know everything there is to know about spam, you would clearly understand what is and what is not spam. Your first messages were spam and as such, they were immediately deleted and you were put on the "blacklist" for the moderators be we don't enjoy it.

So should we judge you yet? Probably not. Don't judge a book by it's cover as they say. But the cover gives a great first impression. You, unfortunately, gave a really bad impression to start.

I'm sure we can all look past the first issues and move on to participate in excellent conversations with you about being a Webmaster, but you have to make sure the book is what we are looking for an not something we want to throw away.

We would love to have you participate in the forums and you are free to advertise your company in your signature. But please, if you do participate in the forums, follow the forum guidelines.

Excuse me MARK HENSLER since when do you have a right to send me a message to critique my company?? I posted a job that I needed filled and you send me a msg to complain about my company because one of my pages was 404'd, you question if I can produde a cgi script...??

It looks to me as if you have alot more time on your hands than you can deal with..What is the reason you don't like me because you say I spam??

Well I guess it will sound the best coming from me. I do like to participate in this forum not for the reasons of just advertisement.

Will i post something asking about the quality of a host when I know my corporation excells at that? Absolutely!!

I do like ALL of the reply's it only makes me strive harder!

Grandmaster, you can disagree with only one part of what I said, the part about using this forum to promote. The part about receiving spam is not really arguable or excusable. It also makes me want to believe less that ToneAtlas is interested in the answers here than he is by promoting his host. That and the fact that he has left several other posts that there was no question about his intent. Most of those have been edited or deleted.

I really see nothing wrong with the promotion of one's work or one's site just as long as it is done by the forum rules and with some integrity. When I originally saw the opening post about what the look for in a host I was a bit peeved because I had just gotten my second piece of spam from ToneAtlas, who got my email address here at Webmaster. Consequently my reply may have been a bit harsh.

I would have to disagree with you mairving. I find his post to be a sort of theng we're he asks the question to help prove apon his hosting comp. I don't find anything wrong with it.
