    <description> &lt;p&gt;Netscape 6 does have an auto save for usernames and passwords. You can select whether you want to save or not just like IE. However it does not support the AutoComplete of form fields.&lt;/p&gt;

    <description> &lt;p&gt;i remember ie5.0 asked me, to remember usernames/pw. if i would do so, the thing you asked would happen. i&#039;d say, it&#039;s the browser.&lt;/p&gt;

    <description> &lt;p&gt;I think the behavior you&#039;re referring to is built into Windows 98 and above. It&#039;s the O/S that saves the log-in info and generates the little drop-down list, not the site itself.&lt;/p&gt;
