It looks better. A good bit cleaner. Thanks for taking down that ugly picture of Scott. There are still a few minor Netscape problems. (1.) Login button is gray in IE, Opera but is the red background color in Netscape. This makes a bit harder to read. I think it is because of this tag (2.) The NEWS & NOTES is black in Netscape but red in IE, opera. Looks good though.

Oh yeah, I forgot about this one. You don't have a title for your page. So if I added this page to my favorites (actually it is already there, someone has to keep an eye on Scott), it would add as http--pttc.org-. Not too pretty.

They just redid my church's site http://www.bellevue.org . Some pretty slick stuff.

OK. I've taken some of your suggestions and have made some major rennovations to our site. Please take a look at http://www.ptcc.org and let me know some thoughts and feedback as to what I could do better.

I look forward to your feedback.

Alright. Thanks for the suggestions. I am going to try to shorten the page dramatically and also remove most of the pictures that load on the main page. I will give the option of going to the page with all of the extra articles and pictures, but it not be the main page.

MAIRVING - I'm sorry that you have to deal with Scott as family. Small world, huh. Honestly, he rocks.

I will put up a new page for critique within a few days.

Thanks for the input guys.

I also noticed that some of the table tags were not closed. This often times causes table problems. IE, most of the time just plain ignores these. Some of the other browsers are a bit more picky. Opera would load the top banner fine but when it got to the table it took it awhile to load.

I basically agree with the previous comments, I might add that the length of the front page is quite long. Most people probably won' scroll that far. An easy way to fix this would be by reducing the size of the images. This will also help the overall load speed. The navigation is a bit standard. Try something other then a list! Test the site in Netscape. Frontpage is famous for non-compatible tags.

Good luck!

You need to remove that ugly picture of Scott Greer. Actually Scott is my brother-in-law. One of the best men I have ever met.

I would also agree that the page is too long. You could keep it the same length if you wanted and linked to the bottom. Do take a view of the page in Netscape. Quite a bit of formatting problems there. Netscape just ignores topmargin & bodymargin in the body tag. You can put it in the style settings as such "Body {margin:0; padding:0;}"

KnowGod.gif doesn't display in Netscape, in a couple of places anyway - all I could guess at is that this
lowsrc="knowinggod.htm?"
' may need to be a little more unquestioning
------------
also, the link to Brother Wilhite's book should be updated

Couple of things -

1. takes a long time to download on my pokey old modem
2. graphics in the page (ie. that 3D news thing which is probably slowing down the page a lot, and the message boards image) don't go with the header design.
3. font in navbar is too small & hard to read
4. first page is too long - some of that stuff should be moved to other pages

The header graphic looks nice, but you should find a way to make those background pictures stretch across the screen at higher resolutions. I often use a combination of a regular graphic and a table background graphic to do this.
