&lt;p&gt;You should probably get rid of the nested tables.  Those usually aren&#039;t a good idea because they tend to slow down the load time and they don&#039;t seem to be necessary in this case.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I fiddled with the code and the problem seems to be that there&#039;s a space between one of the red gif&#039;s and the  tags. Moving the comment tags out of the table cells will probably help in netscape but I&#039;m not sure about that.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;However, a better way to do this would be to make the background of those table cells red and then put a transparent gif inside.  That way you won&#039;t have to worry about adjusting the height of those gif&#039;s to match the height of your content.&lt;/p&gt;
