&lt;p&gt;ASP can be turned off be selecting the &quot;Allow Scripts to Run&quot; check box in the Website properties dialog. I can&#039;t remember if that&#039;s the exact wording since I haven&#039;t used IIS4 for awhile but it will be something like that.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Another possibility is that the script you mentioned (redirect) resides in the global.asa file in the Session_OnStart section. Maybe someone has modified or messed up your global.asa file?&lt;/p&gt;
