Actually,
I think that color scheme is personal preference. I don't think, unless it clashes with other colors on your site, that that will make or break a business. I do see the problem with the crooked lettered links on the left as well as Megan stated. Overall the site looks fine to me, except those minor things- I do agree with a business that the word we would appeal more than I. You would sound alot stronger that way. I don't know if this holds true for DHTML, but I was told that only I think it was about 70% of the internet users can see a flash intro. Like I say, I don't know if this holds true for DHTML or not.

1. If this is a business site you should keep your personal stuff off it - it's very unprofessional. It also sounds more professional to say "we" rather than "I" - even if you are just one person.

2. The teal and gray colour scheme just reminds me of the windows default. You definitely need to change that. Just changing the teal to a dark blue or something could help.

3. The textured background also needs to go - that effect is rather outdated. The one on the sidebar is okay though. Speaking of the sidebar, I think it would look better if it stretched all the way along the edge of the page, rather than cutting off like that.

4. Red and teal do not match. Ever. Find a better hover colour.

5. I don't like the way the menu changes when you move around the site. I know that a lot of articles recommend not having a link to the page you're on, but rearranging the menu on every page is just confusing IMHO.

6. Is "examples" suppoed to be crooked like that?

but you might want to change farther in your intro to further.
