I have a linux server with them and am pleased with the speed. Sometimes I think some of the people working there arent super bright, but the sites are always fast so I cant complain.

dialtone internet. no no no no no no.

I work in the industry and i've heard bad things about their data center. IE backup services are a bunch of desktop APC's, some lines are connected to internet via DSL. etc etc etc.

i recommend rackspace or someone else.

I think their prices are excellent for what you get. They also offer some of the cheapest bandwidth I've ever seen: $3/GB. Most people I know really like them. But RackSpace is also really good. I'd say either are good choices...
