I agree with Rob, the focus of this site should be the content, not the design. After all, we people comming here to discuse topics on our forums, not cruiz around looking at all the pretty colors.

I like the buttons too. Great work so far on the re-design.

Who cares if it looks boring? This is a forum, not a design company showing off a creative design. I would rather have a bland, fast loading page than anything else. We are here to learn/help/socialize not be amazed by a stunning design.

The buttons look fine for me. I'm on 56K right now and it loaded right up no wait at all.

OK, because it's going to take me a day or two to get a menu up top, I have added two important links, as requested.

Some of you have said that the forums are "boring" now so I added some buttons in place of the text menu for each member ... What do you think? I want the site to perform well on a slower 56k connection so I want to avoid a huge number of graphics ...

Yeah, you definitely need to get up the menu icons! I've had a handful of people in the past few days ask me about that. I also think it would look better if the post icons (like website, email, etc...) were put back in place.

OK, we're back to the way it was, since everyone seems to like it...

I know right now it does look a little bland... That's because we need to get a menu put up top, and I am thinking of replacing the text links on each post with some buttons...

I hope to get this stuff done tomorrow...
