Another thing I failed to mention or clarify in my last post: When a font is not supported by a browser the source will still display accurately. In this case the parts of the actual source is in a character format not supported.

Interesting.

But then, why are their some lines in proper English?

I've had such gibberish in files when I uploaded them in the wrong format - like when you upload HTML or Perl as binary instead of text.

Well.....you guys are smart!

It got the best of me, so I contacted Chamberware and the problem was that they are missing a Windows printer driver ("Generic/Text Only").

Congratulations!

It looks like the characters are non-standard. In fact it references HP LaserJet drivers a few times, as Greg pointed out.

Adam, did you see the squares when you looked at the site? If it were the browser's fonts, it wouldn't be everyone's browser. Surely someone would have the proper font installed.

Weird, huh?

I'm thinking that someone botched up Chamberware somehow...

The site was created using “ChamberWare Auto Web-Generator”, which is obviously a top-notch program. Usually the character problem (all the squares) is caused by corrupted fonts or characters not supported by your browser.

What do you think caused the outcome on the following site:

It is a Chamber of Commerce site and all of the members' names are really messed up. I've seen this before. Any ideas on what caused it and how to fix it?

No, I am not their webmaster...lol

In the HTML source it looks like some one concatenated a printer driver.
