I think the opposite also works -

Use nested tables and set the inner table with the fixed width. It works in IE anyway, haven't checked in other browsers.

Nested Tables

Hi ianrules,

If you nest your tables with the 1 on the outside with the width that you want to devote on the page and the inner table should be set to 100%.. the text will wrap instead of stretching the table to fit the text.. some thing like

	Untitled

now if I type stuff here does it break the line at 50% percent or does it
stretch the table? doess anything cause this cell to grow beyond the 50% I have
allowed for it?

Hope This Helps
