MichelleB, to keep it from tiling there are a couple things you might be able to do. 1) put the page in frames (frame on either side ofthe content). the bg still tiles but it looks like it doesn't 2) put the content in a layer and make the bg of that layer as the image. it will tile vertically as you get more and more content but it won't tile horizontally unless you make the layer wider. 3) add some extra space to the right side of the image. it still tiles but since there is extra space on the right side, it makes it look like it is not really tiling

Hi,

I have found that the problem only happens when I use a tiled background image.

Do you have any suggestions other than not using the tiled background.

IE5 on the PC sucks like a hoover.

It fractions off the graphics so they float on the toolbars in little pieces, it jiggles the dropdown boxes and places them randomly all over the screen.

IE 4 would fail to display, and just disintegrate.

Personally, if you use IE for long periods of time, it sucks. If you use Netscape for long periods of time, it sucks.

They both suck.

I haven't loaded 5.5 yet. I've heard that it does have some problems with 'old code'. Have you checked the M$ knowledge database for any bug reports ( http://msdn.miscrosoft.com/workshop )?

No, and it's usually the other way around, with Netscape causing the problems.
