It doesn’t take a lot.. Few projects with a fair size stock photo budget and you’ve spent $1,800 in 6 months. For many clients a couple hundred dollars for stock imagery is not a big deal. I’m sure I’ll continue to use PhotoDisc, Corbis, Weststock, GettyOne, Adobe, etc for individual projects but for everyday use and smaller projects collections are great.

I’ve seen Hemera Photo Objects in action. It looks like a great collection.

Take care,

I ordered the 50K collection today. I’ll drop by and leave my comments once I receive the package. I’ve spent $1,800 at PhotoDisc in the past 6 months. Royalty-Free Stock collections are defiantly well worth the couple hounded dollars. If anyone knows of any other collections please post the URL.

Gotta have Hemera!

I will second Roo's comments on Hemera Photo Objects. I have their 50K collection and for the price you can't beat the quality!

All images are in the form of objects so all the backgrounds have been removed. They import easily into Corel, Adobe and Photo Impact.

Objects can be used at 300 dpi to 72 dpi. I honesly don't think anyone that designs web sites could be disappointed. Hemera has an outstanding product that is well worth more than what they are selling it for.

I also can't say enough about there customer service. I recently had a problem with my CD-Rom and it shattered one of my Hemera discs. I e-mailed Hemera and they sent me an entire set of new discs!

A LOT!!

Photo Objects has LOT of people and one whole section of nothing but people.

An alternative....if you have a digi-cam---snao some pics and using the magntic lasso in your image edior cut the people out of the backgrounds yourself.

Trust me thought...you will NOT be disappointed by Hemera...I don't know how I lived without it for so long!

It's WORTH the investment!!

I have Corel 50K images and they basicall suck.

What Hemera is...actaul photo's with backgrounds removed Ie. the "cutting out" is already done. Anything you can think of is on those disks.

How many “people” pictures does the 50,000 object package have? I’m always looking for good people objects.

Corel has some great high quality collections. I have three of them including their 1,000,000 collection. IMSI also has some okay CD-ROM collections.

Royalty free photo images with the backgorunds removed.
Makes layering a snap .
Come in 25,000 and 50,000 imgaes, and they also have themed packages.

The 50K package is well worth the 70.00 investment.

ArtToday.com might have something - I just use the free membership option, but I've usually found things I can use.

If you're looking for more, e-mail me and I'll send my list of sites I've used regularly.
