    <description> &lt;p&gt;Hi fairhousing,&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;   Java is a lot closer to c, c++, and javascript.  If you are familiar with the first two, the learning curve is will be nice and low, like foothills.  If you only know javascript, it is going to be like a roller coaster with a lot of plateaus.  &lt;/p&gt;
