Looks fine to me.

I don't mind the green - it's a perfectly legitimate color.

I think the curve is just fine too.

I agree that the menu looks a bit cramped. You should space it a bit, especially between categories.

How about putting some info on Amarillo? I didn't know the place existed (or that it was a place for that matter )

I would definitely explain that on the first page, for outsiders who might wander in. You can then link to a page dedicated to that info (map + pictures + description ?)

I do belive that portals need some content of their own to get going.

Anat.

Hmm... not quite sure about this. The green is iffy - that's one of those colours that is really hard to work with. There are a lot of things on here that are just not quite right:

1. The frames should go - there doesn't seem to be a good reason for using them here
2. The drop shadow on the logo is too big, and the white shadow where it's overtop of the stripey thing looks out of place
3. The menu is too cramped and hard to use. The curve along the left edge should be either not there or more pronounced - and I really don't think that this effect is a good idea for a content/news/portal type site.
4. Look at the right edge of the site. The content area should either be fixed width or expandable - not both. Make sure that right edge lines up some how for all those page elements.
5. Don't center paragraphs of text - it makes things hard to read

Seems composing sentences can sometimes be as hard as coding a Web page.

I had meant to say "there is a Vertical scrollbar" which is something to avoid at all costs. I was viewing the site using 1024x768 and the Vertical scrollbar was the last thing I expected to see. Most people do not like having to scroll sideways, and I am one of them.

Curious I wasn't able to "Edit" my post but hope this clears up my mis-confusion.

Stepping up to the plate, he points over to that field (and the fans go wild) then settles into his crouch. He sits back, loads the URL and waits with baited breath. And waits, and waits and oh, wait a minute, something is happening. Yes, yes, he can see it now. And its a FRAMES site.

Not only that, we've got a 64.68 sec download time on a 28.8K (as per Website Garage) and problems in the code (as per msFrontPage)

but...

with some care and attention (there is a Horizontial Scroll bar in Netscape, tsktsk ) to the code, all can be made well. The WDG Validator shows how-to fix the mistakes in the leftframe.htm page, to get rid of that scrunched-up look. Might want to use it on the other pages as well.

All in all, you're off to an excellent start but (as in all Beta versions) there is still some work to be done.

In his first time up-to-bat, the mighty Toddstep, has struck out. Fortunately the game is not over and we expect to see mighty things, at his next time up to bat.
